1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Bazepoint LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Bazepoint," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with bazepoint.com (the "Site"). Bazepoint is building an AI-assisted platform intended to help businesses and founders find manufacturing partners and manage milestone-based payments, with a planned focus on the MENA, Southeast Asia, and Oceania sourcing corridors. That platform isn't live yet; right now, the Site lets you join our waitlist for updates and early access.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

This Policy is written with an eye to obligations that may arise under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), along with other laws that may apply depending on where you're located.

2. Information We Collect

Waitlist information: name, email address, and any other details you provide when joining the waitlist (for example, company name or the kind of access you're interested in).

Usage and device information: pages visited, features used, referral source, IP address, browser and device type, and similar technical data, collected automatically.

Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5.

Information from third parties: if you sign up through a third-party form, referral, or event partner, we may receive your waitlist details from them.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

  • Manage the waitlist and let you know about launch updates and early access
  • Operate and improve the Site
  • Communicate with you about Bazepoint
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • With your permission, or where otherwise allowed, send product updates or marketing communications

We don't yet operate the manufacturer-matching or payment-protection platform described in Section 1, so we don't currently process the transaction, verification, or payment data that platform would eventually involve. We'll update this Policy before that changes.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following bases to process personal data: performance of a contract with you (such as managing your waitlist request), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site, compliance with a legal obligation, and, where applicable, your consent.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; turning them off may affect how the Site works.

6. How We Share Information

We don't sell personal information. We share it with:

  • Service providers, such as hosting, waitlist/email management, analytics, and communications vendors, acting on our behalf
  • Professional advisors, including legal and accounting advisors
  • Regulators, law enforcement, or courts, where required by law or necessary to protect our rights or the rights of others
  • A successor entity, in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets

7. International Data Transfers

Bazepoint is a Delaware, USA entity with operations based in the UAE. Information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, the UAE, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

8. Data Retention

We keep waitlist and Site information for as long as needed to manage the waitlist, operate the Site, and meet legal obligations, or until you ask us to delete it.

9. Your Rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Depending on where you're located, this may include rights under the UAE PDPL, the GDPR, the Australian Privacy Principles, and/or Singapore's PDPA. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the UAE Data Office, your relevant EEA/UK data protection authority, Australia's Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), or Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 13.

10. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for business use by adults and isn't directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time, including as the Site and the planned platform develop. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the update.
