Why I built this

I lost $10,000 to a manufacturer I found online.

I'd transferred them my savings for my first big order. Everything looked fine, the messages, the samples, all of it. Then the goods turned up damaged. The whole order.

I did what you're supposed to do. I raised a dispute, I had photos, I had a case. And I was told it would take months. What I got offered in the end was extra products in the next batch. Send them more money, and hope it goes better the second time.

That's when it hit me that the protection was never real. It exists so these platforms can say it exists. The burden of proof sits on you, the process is built to exhaust you, and they make their money from suppliers, so they're never really going to take your side.

I wasn't unlucky. The system was working exactly as designed. Just not for me.
